About Me
I’m a dedicated life-long learner. I enjoy the learning process from start to finish, as well as the skills and lessons gained from the journey.
My passion for education and my knowledge and skills in technology led me to the wonderful world of learning design. I became a learning designer because I get the opportunity to understand the needs of learners and clients, and to build educational content that promotes effective learning. I believe the ability to help others learn is a gift.
In my free time, I enjoy computer-aided design, 3D printing, web design, woodworking, building and flying remote controlled aircraft, going to theme parks, backpacking, and exercise.
My Mission
The field of instructional design provides me with a unique opportunity to utilize my design skills to help companies and learners who share my interests.
My goal is to design and develop enjoyable, effective, and visually appealing content in college course LMS’s, eLearning courses, and multimedia that enhances the learning experience for learners in a variety of professional fields. These fields include higher education, health and fitness, aerospace, technology, outdoor recreation, sports, automotive, and tools.
Why these industries? It’s very simple. I’m passionate about each field. I’m a believer that having deep interest in the topics you’re designing for sparks exceptional work and incredible collaboration by everyone involved in the creative process.
